ABOUT US

Born in Izmir, he completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Field Crops at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ege University, in 2010. He earned his master’s degree in 2012 and his doctorate in 2018, both from the Department of Field Crops, Institute of Science at Ege University. From 2013 to 2021, he served as a research assistant in the same department and has been an Assistant Professor since 2021.

In 2011, he was awarded a DAAD scholarship, allowing him to study at Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany, for two months. In 2022, he spent 12 months in the United States as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, funded by the TÜBİTAK 2219 postdoctoral research scholarship. He has presented at numerous national and international conferences and has been involved in organizing several of them.

He is the coordinator of the Horizon Europe Project, 'Widening High-Throughput Plant Phenotyping Across Europe: Advancing Collaborative Knowledge Exchange and Technology Transfer,' which commenced in 2024. Additionally, he has contributed to various European Union and scientific research projects as a researcher.

Since 2023, he has served as Vice Chair of the Department of Field Crops at Ege University’s Faculty of Agriculture. His ongoing research focuses on plant breeding and genetics, high-throughput phenotyping, and abiotic stress in field crops. He is proficient in English.
