Dear students,

Welcome to Ege University Faculty of Agriculture.

Our Faculty, which is one of the first two faculties of Ege University, which was established in 1955 as the fourth university of Turkey and the first university of the region, has been serving with ten departments, including Horticulture, Plant Protection, Landscape Architecture, Dairy Technology, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineereing and Technologies, Agricultural Structures and Irrigation, Field Crops, Soil Science and Plant Nutrition and Animal Science, in accordance with the requirements of the changing age in the discipline of agricultural science.

Our Faculty of Agriculture has adopted the principle that the main focus of development in Agriculture and Agriculture-based disciplines is to educate quality and qualified students within the scope of the same values as our university, which adopts the concept of student-oriented approach. The main goal of our faculty is to train well-equipped Agricultural Engineers who do not compromise on ethical values, who are self-confident, prone to teamwork, have developed social communication skills and the ability to solve problems analytically, who are aware of the protection of natural resources, who are open to changing technologies and methods and have a flexible perspective, who will contribute to the development of the country's agriculture at a high level by adopting lifelong learning as a goal.

In coordination with our university, which has taken its place among the Research Universities and has full accreditation, our Faculty has also been accredited with 10 departments. It is ready to welcome you, our students, as the first and only Faculty of Agriculture in our country, which is accredited with all its departments and whose quality values in education have been approved.

In addition to vocational education, our faculty contributes to our students to be a useful individual to the society with social responsibility projects. At the same time, our students are given the opportunity to take part in nationally and internationally supported projects together with researchers. The faculty, which has gained momentum in internationalization activities in recent years, has a double diploma program with Azerbaijan State Agricultural University. Our faculty offers a wide Erasmus+ experience with a total of 52 agreements within the scope of bilateral collaborations. In our faculty, which hosts many graduate students from countries abroad, our students have the opportunity to get to know different cultures. In addition, our university has many facilities and student organizations for social activities. Within our faculty, we have two separate student communities under the name of Agriculture Community and Sports Community. Our students can participate in sub-study groups in these societies in their free time from classes, which they can do with pleasure and develop their social aspects.
